petrol是petroleum的缩写。petro这个词根是岩石的意思，所以petrol是从岩石下钻出的油。是石油。
而oil更宽泛，可虚颤指任何油轮启类。工业加工油、动物油。都可以。//也可以指石油，但这么用往往在口语中，是非正式用腊誉如法。
