Password Protection includes the information about the password of the administrator. The password defined in the Password Protection defines a possibility of access to the software settings and should be applied at a stage of initial authorization. User with defined password has the full control over the program and can change and save the changed options. At the first start of system password represent an empty line. Strongly recommended to define nonempty passwords for both users with the purpose of a safety.
Do not show hints - you can disable all hints for this software. It's useful when you're familiar with the interface and don't need the help hints.
Hint displaying time - time period for closing help hints. If you have not time to read the text of hints, you need to increase this time
Check for updates - compares your current software version with version of software, available from the Handy Software Lab's product site. If the newest version is found, you're will be prompted for download and install the updated version. If you're connected to the Internet via proxy server, you should set up proxy settings.
Database engine - set of the tools for keeping the database in a reasonable memory space limits.
Purge records older then - allows you to delete old unneeded database records. You can purge records automatically for selected time. Also you can purge records manually for chosen period of time.
